Explicit language, drug and alcohol use, gang references
These lyrics from Dr. Dre's 'Still D.R.E.' contain multiple categories of mature content that make them unsuitable for younger audiences. There is explicit profanity throughout, including censored but clearly implied strong language. Drug references are pervasive and celebratory, including direct references to marijuana ('puffin' my leafs,' 'sticky-icky-icky,' 'no stress, no seeds, no stems, no sticks,' 'Cali weed'). Violence and gang culture are glorified, with references to drive-bys, AK-47s ('ak-matics'), gangster representation, and street life presented approvingly. There are mild sexual undertones ('fly b-,' references to women paying homage, 'laid back in the shack'). The overall message normalizes and celebrates gang affiliation, drug use, and street culture. While there are some positive notes (mentioning helping young Black people earn money and supporting family), the dominant themes of glorified criminality, drug use, and violence make this clearly adult content.
